Day 1
Arrival in Cape Town and Transfer to Hotel
Arrival in Cape Town and Transfer to Hotel
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you'll be met and transferred to the Winchester Hotel — your base for the first three nights of your trip. Ideally positioned on the edge of the Sea Point Promenade, this 1920s Cape Dutch-style building has recently been beautifully refreshed, and it wears its heritage well.
The views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic are reason enough to linger, but the Winchester's charm goes beyond the outlook.
The Loft Rooms are comfortable and quietly elegant, each with en-suite facilities, air conditioning, and lovely sightlines over the hotel's courtyard and mountain beyond. Speaking of the courtyard - it's a lovely spot to unwind after a long flight, and the bar is perfectly placed for a welcome drink as you get your bearings and start to feel the city settle around you.
Sea Point's restaurants, the famous promenade, and the Atlantic seaboard are all on your doorstep.

Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour
Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour
Today you'll join a small group English-language tour of the Cape Peninsula - one of those days that tends to stay with you long after the trip is over. The route heads south from the city to Hout Bay, where you can wander the harbour or take an optional boat trip out to Seal Island to watch the Cape fur seals in their element.
From there, Chapman's Peak Drive winds along the clifftops with the Atlantic dropping away below, genuinely one of the most spectacular coastal roads in the world. The afternoon takes you into the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and up to the Cape Point Lighthouse, before a stop at Boulders Beach to spend time with the resident colony of African penguins. The return leg passes through Simon's Town, Kalk Bay, and Muizenberg - each worth a slow wander if time allows.

Day 3
Leisure in Cape Town
Leisure in Cape Town
Today is entirely your own - a rare and welcome thing on a busy itinerary.
Cape Town rewards those who explore at their own pace, and there's no shortage of ways to spend the day. Consider a trip to the Cape Winelands, taking in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and some of the world's finest wine estates. Closer to the city, a walk through the Bo-Kaap and the V&A Waterfront gives a feel for Cape Town's layered history and culture. On a clear day, the Table Mountain cable car is not to be missed - the views from the top are extraordinary. And if you haven't yet made it to Robben Island, this is the day for it.
We can help you add on another guided tour if you would prefer to explore with like minded travellers and expert local guides.

Day 4-6
Fly to Kruger's Sabi Sand for your Safari
Fly to Kruger's Sabi Sand for your Safari
This morning you'll transfer to the airport and fly north to Hoedspruit, the airport that serves as the gateway to the Greater Kruger. From there, transfer to Elephant Plains Game Lodge, tucked into the northern reaches of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve and your home for the next three nights.
This is a lodge that delivers a genuinely excellent safari at honest value, without any of the fuss. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, each with a lounge area, en-suite bathroom, and a large private deck looking out over the bush, its the kind of spot where you'll find yourself sitting longer than planned.
The main lodge has a pool, bar, and boma for evening dinners under the stars. Twice daily, you'll head out with a professional guide and tracker team on game drives into one of Africa's most wildlife-rich reserves. The Sabi Sand's Big Five sightings are the stuff of legend, and the private concession means off-road access and an intimacy you simply don't get in the national park.

Day 7
Panorama Route
Panorama Route
After your morning game drive and a leisurely brunch, you'll swap the bush for a very different kind of drama. A guide collects you for a half-day tour along the Panorama Route, one of South Africa's most scenically rewarding drives.
The highlight is Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world, best appreciated from the viewpoint at God's Window where the escarpment falls away into a vast green sweep below. Bourke's Luck Potholes - extraordinary cylindrical rock formations carved by centuries of swirling water - are another highlight, and there's a good chance of catching one or two of the area's spectacular waterfalls if time allows.
The route passes through Graskop, a small town with more charm and good food than its size might suggest.
By evening, you'll arrive at Nut Grove Manor in White River, a quietly lovely spot where the rooms look out over a beautiful garden. It's classic in feel, comfortable, ensuite throughout, and there's a good restaurant on site.

Day 8
Fly to Victoria Falls
Fly to Victoria Falls
After breakfast, you'll depart White River and make your way to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for a late-morning flight directly to Victoria Falls.
On arrival, a shared transfer drops you in town, where you'll be based for the next three nights at Shongwe Lookout and Oasis, a charming boutique hotel tucked into the leafy suburbs, and a very welcome contrast to the game lodges you've left behind. The pool, spa, and excellent on-site restaurant make it easy to settle in, but the real highlight is the raised lookout platform - a lovely perch for a cold drink and a moment to take stock of where you are.
Rooms are ensuite, air-conditioned, and face the pretty gardens. There's barely time to unpack before the afternoon's main event: a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. The Zambezi at dusk is one of those experiences that earns its reputation -hippos, crocodiles, and elephants on the banks, a glass in hand, and the sky turning extraordinary colours as the sun drops below the treeline.

Day 9
Day Tour to Chobe National Park
Day Tour to Chobe National Park
Set your alarm - today is a big one. After an early breakfast, you'll be collected for a full-day shared tour across the border into Botswana's Chobe National Park.
The day begins on the water, with a leisurely boat cruise along the Chobe River. Chobe's elephant population is one of the largest in Africa, and from the boat you'll be eye-level with animals coming down to drink and swim - closer than you'd expect, and completely unhurried. Hippos surface alongside you, crocodiles line the banks, and the birdlife is relentless in the best possible way.
Lunch is a relaxed affair at a riverside hotel before the afternoon shifts to dry land for a game drive through the park, where elephant herds move in their hundreds and lion sightings are far from uncommon. Your guides know this landscape intimately and bring it to life in a way that goes well beyond spotting animals.
By the time you cross back into Zimbabwe this evening, you'll have had a very full day indeed.

Day 10
Leisure to Explore Victoria Falls
Leisure to Explore Victoria Falls
Today is spent at leisure exploring Victoria Falls.
A guided walk to the Falls themselves is the obvious starting point, nothing quite prepares you for the scale and sound of them up close. From there, the options are extraordinary. Take to the air on a helicopter or microlight flight for a perspective that simply can't be matched from the ground. Head out on a game drive or guided walk. If adventure is your thing, the bungee jump, zipline, and bridge swing over the gorge are all here and all as dramatic as they sound. The more intrepid can tackle the Zambezi white water, while a Livingstone Island excursion puts you right at the lip of the Falls. Or do very little - another cruise on the Zambezi, a long lunch, a wander through town. Your guide can help you book whatever appeals.
