Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, one of our friendly drivers will be waiting to warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Meru on the way, and settle in for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay. After your journey, unwind and rest comfortably.

If you arrive early, you can take some time to relax or join a city tour of Arusha. In the afternoon, our driver will pick you up for an enjoyable tour, including a visit to a Maasai village, the Arusha Monument, the local market, and an art gallery.

Day 2

After breakfast at 08:00, you will meet our driver and board a 4x4 Safari Jeep for the drive to Tarangire National Park. The journey from the airport may take up to two hours.

Upon arrival, your game drive will begin and continue until the evening. We will stop for lunch at a picnic site inside the park, and dinner will be served later at your lodge.

The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife during the dry season. It is famous for its large elephant herds, giant baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. You may also encounter lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, and many other species of birds and plants.

By late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

The exciting adventure through the northern park will continue to Serengeti National Park. At around 6:30 am, our guide will pick you up from your lodge to start the drive to Serengeti National Park, stopping at the Olduvai Gorge Museum in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. The drive to the Serengeti gate may take up to three hours. We'll stop for lunch at Naabi Hill Gate, then continue with an afternoon game drive until evening.

Serengeti is one of Africa's most iconic wildlife reserves, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will have a chance to witness the Big Five animals of Africa – the powerful lion, elusive leopard, majestic elephant, rhino, and mighty buffalo.

After a restful night surrounded by the sounds of nature, you will be awakened by the chirping and bird songs in the heart of the Serengeti. Enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading out for the game drive at 7:00 am.

Today is dedicated to seeking the famous Big Five animals which include lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos. The Central Serengeti is known for its incredible wildlife population, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.

In the evening, you'll return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater

Get up for an early breakfast to make the most out of your day in the Ngorongoro Crater.

You'll depart after breakfast (6:00 am) from the lodge for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes about two hours to reach the Ngorongoro gate. You'll embark on a full-day crater tour game drive with a picnic lunch.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a World Heritage Site under natural and cultural criteria. Once you descend into the crater, you will have a great chance to spot the Big Five, including prides of lions, herds of buffalos, elephants, leopards and black rhinos. Bird species like flamingos live in the crater lakes. Experience the amazing natural environment inside the crater.

After the game drive, we’ll drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, marking the end of Akondo Adventures services.
