Day 1

Genocide and transfer to Nyungwe

This morning after breakfast, we shall head out for a city tour within Kigali city where we shall visit the Genocide museum after which we shall transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will check in to your lodge. Nyungwe forest national park is commonly known for canopy walking and chimpanzee trekking. This place is without a doubt the best way to truly appreciate the beautiful vegetation cover of this rainforest.

Day 2

In the morning after your breakfast, you shall be transferred to the briefing area where you shall be handed over to the rangers who will share with you the dos` and don`ts of the place. After the tracking, you shall have lunch and taken to the place where you shall do a canopy walk, the walk takes approximately 2 hours and it has three sections; the first section is 45m, the second section is 90m, and the third section is 25m. You have great views of the forest inhabitants like the black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and LHoests monkeys plus lots of different bird species. And later you will go back to your accommodation area for an evening over stay.

Day 3

Depending on the time of arrival in this place, you shall be transferred to the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village. The Iby’iwacu cultural village is one of the leading cultural attractions in Rwanda. The Village combines all of Rwanda’s known cultural traditions, people and history into one place for display and a personal experience. International visitors get to see what life was in a typical African village setting – the lifestyle, houses, traditional dances, dressing code, food, herbs and how the ancient kingdoms were generally organized. Here, you will be given an opportunity to learn ancient hunting skills, try weaving baskets/mats, carpentry. After this activity, you shall go check in your accommodation facility.

In the morning after your breakfast, you shall be transferred to the briefing are as you start your tracking. Golden monkey tracking is a lively, accessible primate adventure—ideal for those seeking a more active but less strenuous complement to gorilla trekking. You'll witness playful troops in lush bamboo forests before heading to Bwindi for the next leg of your primate safari.

After the activity, you shall be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park for an over stay and getting ready for the next day`s gorilla trekking activity.

Have an early morning breakfast and proceed to the briefing point. Enjoy the highlight of your trip, gorilla trekking, which may last from 2 to 6 hours depending on the group you are visiting. We'll trek through the rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes, accompanied by a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide and other trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. Due to the nature of the activity, you will have a packed lunch. After gorilla trekking, you will drive through the terraced hills to Kigali international airport as you end your 5 Days best of Rwanda and Uganda primate luxury tour.
