2-Day Short Nyerere NP Safari from Dar Es Salaam

Transfer from Dar es salam and game viewing in Nyerere NP/Selous

You shall be picked by your safari guide from your hotel at 04:30 AM from the hotel or airport at Dar es Salaam by our driver and drive to Nyerere National Park formally Selous Game Reserve for about 4hr30. The drive shall take approximately 3 hours and immediately upon arrival, you shall embark on the adventure right the way.

Activity: This day will be spent on game viewing in the Game Reserve. The safari guide will point out rare species of animals like wild dogs, Sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile crocodile, hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji River, Cape buffalo, hartebeest and eland. Picnic lunch and drinks will be served in the wilderness at noon (01:30 PM) before advancing with the game for the rest hours. There is so much to see today at the famous Nyerere national Park.

Boat ride and transfer back to Dar es Salam

After breakfast at 07:00 AM, start the boat trip. Usually, the boat trip leaves camp at 07:30 AM and returns at 09:00 AM. It's an ideal trip and you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful birdlife. The sunrise can also be stunning from the boat. There is nothing quite like the serenity of the river while the sun dips below the horizon. After a boat tour at 10:00 AM you’ll start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a drop off at the hotel or any point of interest! This will be the end of your safari and we mark it as the beginning of a long lasting friendship..
