After an early breakfast, check out and enjoy a final morning game drive as you exit the park. You’ll drive westward, crossing the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway to enter Tsavo West National Park, which offers a striking contrast in scenery, lush hills, lava flows, and rugged landscapes.
Game viewing continues as you make your way to your lodge or camp, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, set out to explore some of the park’s natural highlights, including a visit to Mzima Springs. Here, fresh spring water bubbles up from underground aquifers, forming clear pools that support hippos, crocodiles, and fish. An underwater observation chamber gives you a unique view of the aquatic life.
You’ll also explore the Shetani Lava Flow, a vast black lava field formed by volcanic eruptions centuries ago. Wildlife sightings may include elephants, leopards, bushbucks, and a wide variety of birds.
