Arrival in Livingstone

After arrival in Livingstone, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Maramba River Lodge. Elephants and hippos are regular guests at this lodge. You can watch them from the sunset deck.
Your overnight stay will be in en-suite safari tents. Dinner in the restaurant. (-/-/-).

Kafue National Park

In the morning of day 2, you'll start your safari and drive via Kalomo to Kafue National Park, the largest and oldest National Park of Zambia, with 23 different species of antelopes. You'll have time to explore the southern area of this huge park on your game drive.

Kafue National Park - Lake Ithezi Thezi

You'll carry on to Lake Ithezi Thezi. The scenery on the lake shore is beautiful, and wildlife is plentiful on the floodplains and shoreline. You'll have 2 full days to explore this area and enjoy stunning sunsets on the lake.

Kafue National Park - Central Area

You will be staying in the central part of Kafue, in the Chunga region. You will spend the whole day doing wildlife viewing in the park. Several small rivers cross this area, which leaves several waterholes in the dry season for the animals to quench their thirst. Wild dogs, which roam large areas of the park, and cheetahs and lions are among the inhabitants here.

Kafue National Park - Busanga Plains

You will transfer in the north-western direction to Busanga Plains. This area can only be visited at a very limited time of the year. You will spend 3 days in this remote wilderness to explore the area on game drives and game walks. Your overnight stay will be in Kasonso Camp (2x FB).

Kafue National Park

After breakfast, you'll pack your vehicle. On a long game drive, you will drive through Kafue National Park to the central part of the park and set up your tents at Roy’s Campsite. If time allows, you can do another game drive for sunset on the bank of the Kafue River. Camping (FB).

Lusaka

In the morning, you'll pack up camp and drive to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. You'll stay overnight at Lilayi Lodge and can do a game walk or game drive on the farm in the afternoon. You'll have dinner in the restaurant of the lodge at your own expense.
Your overnight stay will be in spacious Chalets at Lilayi Lodge (B/L/-).

Lower Zambezi National Park

After breakfast, you'll drive through Lusaka and down the escarpment to the Zambezi valley. A visit to the Lower Zambezi Park is one of the highlights in Zambia.
The Zambezi River on one side and the Escarpment on the other form the backdrop of your wildlife viewing. You'll do game drives in the park and boating along the river shore to watch the animals come to drink. On one of these days, you will do a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi.
You'll stay overnight in spacious Safari Tents at Kasaka River Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River (3x FB).
