Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park – Transfer & Wildlife Viewing
After an early breakfast, depart from Dar es Salaam and begin your scenic journey to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy the drive through charming Tanzanian countryside with either a picnic lunch en route or a hot lunch upon arrival, depending on the timing.

Mikumi is famed for its large herds of elephants—sometimes up to 150 in a group—as well as an abundance of other wildlife including giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, and antelope.

As you approach the park, begin spotting animals en route to your lodge, giving you a taste of the safari excitement to come. Later in the evening, enjoy a buffet dinner at the lodge and settle in for an overnight stay, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the African bush.

Mikumi National Park

After an early breakfast, we’ll head back into Mikumi National Park for a thrilling full-day game drive, bringing along our lunch boxes or hampers for a picnic-style meal in the wild.

This is your chance to take in more of Mikumi’s incredible wildlife—keep a lookout for elephants, giraffes, lions, and many other species that make this park a photographer’s paradise.

After an exciting day on the plains, we’ll return to the lodge for some well-earned relaxation. Take a refreshing swim, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind under the stars for your overnight stay.

Transfer from Mikumi to Dar es Salaam

After a relaxing breakfast at the lodge, we’ll begin our scenic drive back to Dar es Salaam, with lunch boxes provided for the journey.

Upon arrival in the city, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location—whether it’s the ferry terminal, airport, or your hotel—bringing your memorable Mikumi safari experience to a close.
