Nairobi – Samburu

Your safari begins with a scheduled flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Samburu. You will make your own arrangements to get to Wilson Airport in time for check-in and departure. Upon arrival in Samburu, you will be met and transferred to your lodge or camp. After check-in and lunch, you will have some time to relax and enjoy the facilities of the property before heading out for your first game drive in the reserve in the afternoon. The Samburu ecosystem is renowned for its beautiful landscapes and unique wildlife, including the Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge or camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Full Day in Samburu

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game-viewing experience in Samburu National Reserve. The morning game drive offers excellent opportunities to observe wildlife when animals are most active, with time to explore different areas of the reserve and enjoy the scenery along the Ewaso Ng’iro River. Depending on the day's arrangements, you may return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before continuing with an afternoon game drive or enjoy a longer game-viewing excursion with a picnic lunch. Throughout the day, your safari guide will share information about the wildlife, landscape, and local ecosystem. You will return to the lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Samburu – Nairobi

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Samburu, giving you a final opportunity to explore the reserve and look for wildlife before departing. After the game drive, return to the lodge or camp for breakfast and check out. You will then be transferred to the Samburu airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi Wilson Airport. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, your 3-day Samburu fly-in safari concludes.
