After enjoying an early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre. This poignant site provides a profound insight into the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, during which approximately 1 million Rwandans were tragically killed in a span of just 100 days. The memorial offers exhibits, personal stories, and historical accounts to help you understand the impact and significance of these events.
Following your visit, you’ll have lunch then setting off on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. The journey will offer you with beautiful mountainous and green countryside from which the name of “The Land of a thousand hills” was depicted. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will receive a brief orientation at the park headquarters outlining the guidelines for gorilla trekking. Following this, you'll head into the forest in search of the gorillas. The trek can last between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' location and your group's pace. Once you locate the gorillas, you will have up to one hour to observe and spend time with them.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a cultural encounter, providing you with a deeper understanding of Rwandan culture.
Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

After enjoying your morning breakfast, embark on a scenic 6 to 7-hour drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of East Africa’s most ancient and expansive montane rainforests, known for its unparalleled ecological significance. Spanning over 1,000 square kilometers, this biodiversity hotspot boasts a wide variety of flora and fauna, including a small but thriving population of chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. Among these is the elusive L’Hoest’s monkey, a species endemic to the Albertine Rift, adding to the forest's unique appeal. The park is also home to over 300 bird species, countless butterflies, and orchids, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and relax in its serene surroundings, where you will enjoy a full-board stay, preparing for the adventures ahead.

Start your day with an early morning chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe Forest National Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity and as a sanctuary for humankind’s closest primate relatives. The trek begins with a briefing at 5:30 AM, followed by the adventure at 6:00 AM. Guests are advised to carry a packed breakfast from their lodge. A ranger guide will lead you to either the Uwinka trailhead or the Cyamudongo sector, where you’ll explore the park’s lush forest, home to over 13 primate species, including chimpanzees, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Rwenzori colobus monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys.
After lunch at your lodge, enjoy the famous canopy walk, suspended 40 meters above the forest floor, offering stunning views of the park’s treetops. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge, with full board accommodation.

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast, allowing yourself time to soak in the last moments of your stay before starting your 4 to 5-hour journey back to Kigali. Along the way, enjoy a stopover in Huye, previously known as Butare, a city steeped in cultural and historical significance. Here, you will visit the Ethnographic Museum of Rwanda, formerly the National Museum of Rwanda, a treasure trove of the country’s rich heritage.
Explore exhibits showcasing traditional artifacts, historical accounts, and insights into Rwandan culture, including its social structures, agricultural practices, and vibrant artistic expressions. Gain a deeper understanding of the daily lives, traditions and history that shape Rwanda's unique identity.
After your cultural immersion, continue the scenic drive to Kigali, arriving in the afternoon. Once in Kigali, you’ll prepare to connect to your international flight, concluding your memorable journey through Rwanda.
