Your adventure begins with an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport, where your professional safari guide will meet and brief you about the trip. You’ll then head straight to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees, and scenic landscapes dotted with wildlife.

Enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and countless bird species along the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, drive to Figtree Lodge in the nearby town of Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro crater

After an early breakfast, drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the crater floor — often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”

Spend your day exploring the crater, home to over 25,000 animals including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Lions are often seen lounging in the open plains, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.

Enjoy your picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending and driving back to Figtree Lodge for a relaxing evening.
