Day 1

Arusha to Lake Natron Via Oldonyo-Lengai

Arusha to Lake Natron Via Oldonyo-Lengai

Our safari will start from Arusha town, where we will pick you up and drive all the way to Lake Natron, spending about 5 hours on the way. You will stop at one of the designated areas for your lunch. Afterward, you will have a walking safari in the afternoon to the waterfalls on the side of Oldonyo Lengai in the Ngare Sero Waterfall.
After refreshment at the waterfalls, you will get back to the lodge for rest until 23hrs at night. That will be the right time for us to take you to the bottom of Oldonyo Lengai for the overnight mountain climbing. We prefer hiking this time because the temperature at the mountain during the day is estimated to be very high.

Day 2

Lake Natron to Oldonyo-Lengai

Lake Natron to Oldonyo-Lengai

Hiking at Oldonyo Lengai mountain will end at 11 AM when you descend the mountain. At the bottom of the mountain, you will find your driver guide waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for lunch and get time to relax a bit. After a short time of relaxing, you will have a walking safari to the local Maasai Warriors in Lake Natron.
Lake Natron has been a home to pink flamingoes, which are recognized as their breeding ground. It is a colorful alkaline lake with plentiful soda-ash, hot springs, and magnesite deposits.
