You'll be collected from the airport.

Day 1

You will start very early, around 4:00 AM or even earlier, as Kigali is a distance away to Bwindi, and the trekking experience typically starts in the morning. You'll travel from Kigali to the nearest border crossing into Uganda usually Gatuna/Katuna. Ensure you have all the necessary travel documents to ease border crossing. On arrival at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters, you'll attend a briefing about the gorilla trekking experience. You'll also be assigned a gorilla group to visit.

The actual gorilla trekking tour experience in Bwindi can be physically demanding, as you'll be hiking through dense forest, often on steep terrain. The duration of the trek can vary, and it may take several hours to locate the gorilla group you've been assigned to. After finding a gorilla group, you'll be allowed just1 hour in their presence. Return to the park headquarters, and transfer back to Kigali.
