Day 1

When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, our tour guide will meet you then proceed on a guided tour of the city's vibrant neighborhoods, showcasing its remarkable growth. Visit the Presidential Museum, a former residence of two Rwandan Presidents, to uncover the country's rich political history.
You will also visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, then enjoy lunch before heading to the Northwestern part of Rwanda. If there is enough time, you will take views of the Twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo, nestled amidst steep hills, waterfalls, and the majestic Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park head offices in Kinigi by 7:00 am. You will join other golden monkeys trekkers and meet the ranger guide for a briefing about the activity's don's and don'ts. Trek into the park to track the golden monkeys in their bamboo forest habitat. You spend an hour observing these fascinating creatures as they feed on bamboo leaves and potatoes. Return to the trailhead and enjoy lunch at the lodge before heading to the border and onward to Bwindi.

Day 3

After breakfast, proceed to the rangers' post. You will be briefed (by a ranger guide) on the dos and don'ts. Following that, you will enter the Bwindi Forest to begin your adventure. This rain forest is breathtakingly beautiful! The area has a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is extremely dense, but it is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that allow tourists access. The time and terrain vary according to the movements of these great primates. You will be allowed an hour in the presence of a gorilla group once you have located one. Spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is an unforgettable experience. Return to your lodging, check out, and take a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in the evening to relax and have dinner. If interested, Optional (at extra cost) you may choose to do a night game drive.

Day 4
Mburo's Morning Safari, Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Enjoy your breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning game drive or park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. On this early morning safari, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others. Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP. #Optional (extra cost): Instead game drive or walking safari, you may consider; cycling in the park or horseback riding in the park. Return to the accommodation to have lunch, then transfer to Kibale National Park which is famous for its primates such as chimps, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and Uganda mangabeys (Lophocebus ugandae). On arrival, check in the accommodation to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 5

After breakfast, proceed to the rangers' post, where you will be briefed on the dos and don'ts of chimp trekking. Following that, you will trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest. An experienced ranger-guide will take you chimp tracking (Kibale Forest), and the presence of primates here will astound you. You will have an hour in the chimps' presence once you locate them. Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Entebbe via the Equator point in Kayabwe arriving in the evening to relax.

Day 6

After breakfast this morning, you will go to Mabamba Swamp for the exciting Shoe bill tracking experience. Return to the lodge for lunch, checkout of the hotel and transfer to Entebbe International Airport to readily catch your air transfer back home in the evening. We recommend that you book an evening departure as you say farewell to the Pearl of Africa!
