Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Rise early for breakfast, then head to Kinigi Park headquarters for your thrilling gorilla trek. After a briefing and assignment of guides, you'll track one of the eight habituated gorilla groups with experienced rangers. The search may take 2-6 hours, but once you find the gorillas, you'll have an unforgettable hour with these majestic creatures. With the rangers' guidance, you'll navigate the forest and make the most of this incredible experience. Afterward, return to the lodge, cherishing the memories.

Golden monkey trekking & transfer to Kigali Airport

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a golden monkey trek, a relatively easy 1-2 hour hike. You'll spot these rare, endangered monkeys, found only in the Virunga Mountains, and spend an hour observing them. Led by a dominant male, groups can have up to 90 members. After this unique experience, return to your hotel for some rest time and lunch then begin your journey back to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
