Day 1

Upon your arrival at Kigali Airport, your guide will welcome you and begin your guided tour of Kigali's vibrant, rapidly developing neighborhoods that are reshaping the city’s skyline. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the Presidential Museum, formerly the residence of two of Rwanda's past presidents, where you’ll gain insight into the nation’s political history. We’ll then drive through Kigali’s older commercial and residential districts, making a significant stop at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, which commemorates the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
After a lunch break, we’ll continue to Musanze. Time permitting, we’ll visit the scenic twin lakes, Burera and Ruhondo. Their deep blue waters, steep hills, and cascading waterfalls are framed by the stunning Virunga Volcanoes, creating an unforgettable landscape.

Day 2

Start your day with an early breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters in Kinigi by 7:00 am. Here, you’ll join fellow golden monkey trekkers and meet the ranger guide for a brief orientation about the activity and the park. At 8:00 am, you’ll transfer to the trailhead, just outside the park, and take in the beautiful mountain scenery as you begin your trek.
Golden monkeys inhabit the bamboo forests at the park’s edge, making for an accessible and enjoyable trek. As you encounter these lively primates, you’ll follow them as they feed, observing how they adeptly pick young bamboo leaves from the tops of the stalks. Occasionally, they venture beyond the park boundaries into nearby potato fields, where their fondness for the crop is unmistakable!
After an unforgettable hour with the golden monkeys, you’ll return to the trailhead and head back to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, we’ll proceed to the border, clear customs, and continue our journey to Bwindi.

Day 3
Gorilla Tracking Expedition
Gorilla Tracking Expedition
Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park ranger station for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla tracking. From there, you’ll embark on the gorilla trail, where tracking can range from 2 to 8 hours, sometimes even a full day, before encountering the gorillas. Once you find them, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing these magnificent apes up close. Since the duration is unpredictable, a packed lunch will be provided for your adventure.
After this exhilarating experience, return to the lodge for warm snacks and relaxation. Then, head out later for the Batwa cultural tour to immerse yourself in the traditions and daily life of the local community.

Day 4

Explore Ishasha's Tree-Climbing Lions and Kazinga Channel Wildlife Cruise
On the way from Bwindi, we’ll pass through the renowned Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, celebrated for its unique tree-climbing lions. Though sightings aren’t guaranteed, a stop in Ishasha promises an unforgettable experience. After the game drive, we’ll continue to the Mweya Peninsula for a sunset cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
If time allows, embark on a Kazinga Channel boat cruise for exceptional wildlife viewing. Keep an eye out for crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and an array of bird species along the water’s edge. Following the boat cruise, we’ll head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Morning Kasenyi Plains Safari and Chimpanzee Tracking Adventure
Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge, then head to the famous Kyambura Gorge for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This lush, forested valley is home to a small but active chimp community, offering a unique opportunity to observe them in the wild.
After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some time to relax.
Later in the evening, set out for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. Located within the expansive savannahs of the Albertine Rift, this area is known for its rich wildlife. Keep your eyes out for lions, large herds of buffalo, elephants, Uganda kobs, and bushbucks with a bit of luck, you might even spot a leopard, completing the “Big Four.”
You’ll return to the lodge in time to enjoy a hearty and delicious dinner.

Day 6
Transfer to Kigali City
Transfer to Kigali City
After breakfast, begin your scenic journey back to Kigali. The drive takes you through the rolling hills of Kigezi and lush tea plantations, offering beautiful views along the way. You'll cross back into Rwanda via the Katuna border.
This marks the end of your tour safe travels and thank you for exploring with us.
