Day 1

Transfer To Mikumi NP

You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel, ferry, or airport in Dar es Salaam by your driver-guide. You will then drive to Mikumi National Park, a journey of approximately 5 hours. Along the way, you will stop for lunch, giving you time to relax and stretch before continuing your safari.

Upon arrival at Mikumi National Park, you will enter the park and begin your afternoon game drive. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species. Your professional guide will help you spot animals and share insights about their behavior and habitat, making the experience both exciting and educational.

The game drive will continue until sunset, offering excellent opportunities for photography as the golden light spreads across the savannah.

After the game drive, you will head to Camp Bastian for dinner and your overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at Camp Bastian, you will begin your second day with an unforgettable walking safari led by a professional and experienced armed ranger. This unique experience allows you to explore the natural environment on foot and get closer to the wilderness in a safe and guided way.

During the walk, your guide will share knowledge about animal tracks, plants, and the ecosystem of Mikumi National Park. You may encounter wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and a variety of bird species, offering a completely different perspective compared to a vehicle safari.

The walking safari provides a deeper connection to nature, allowing you to appreciate the smaller details often missed during game drives. After this enriching experience, you will return to camp for breakfast and some relaxation.

Later, you will depart Mikumi and drive back to Dar es Salaam, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location, marking the end of your safari adventure.
