Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You will be picked up by our safari driver guide very early at 7:00 am and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Trekking mountain gorillas is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences. You will have a stopover at the equator for a photo moment, where you can also buy some crafts and souvenirs. Later, you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for a lunch break. Proceed and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters with packed lunch and you will have an orientation before you start the trek. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about the lifestyle of these endangered species. The gorilla location will determine how much time the trekking will take and after you locate them, you will be allowed to spend only one hour observing, and photographing these gentle, peaceful, and shy gorillas. However, if you are trekking the gorillas, you must maintain a distance of 7 meters, keep the voices low, and follow your guide’s instructions closely. Cover your body by wearing long trousers, and long-sleeved shirts to avoid insects, wear comfortable hiking shoes suitable for steep muddy slopes, and also carry rain gear as the weather is unpredictable. Have lunch after the trek and then return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer back to Entebbe to catch your flight

After an early morning breakfast, you will start a long drive to Entebbe. It will be a long drive but there will be a stopover in Masaka for lunch as you come to the end of your 3day gorilla trekking safari. After that, you will proceed straight to Entebbe/Kampala to end the trip.
