Day 1

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early in the morning you will be picked up by our driver guide and embark on your journey to queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover for a coffee break and photo poses at the equator. And then proceed to have lunch in Mbarara and continue to the park, check-in to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip on Kazinga channel

Meet with your driver guide immediately after breakfast and drive and set out in search of the morning risers and exciting game drive along the Kasenyi. If you are lucky, you may be able to view a lot of wild games. Along the Kasenyi and queen’s plains, there are chances of seeing elephants, lions, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, and warthogs plus various bird species. After, return back at the lodge for relaxation and lunch. You will have a boat trip on the famous Kazinga channel for 2 hours after lunch. This will take you past very large populations of Hippos and several other animals drinking water. The boat cruise offers you a great chance for photography, game viewing as well as bird watching. After there, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge and transfer to Ishasha for tree climbing lion

Wake up early and prepare to be taken for briefing at the starting point in Kyambura Gorge. The Kyambura Gorge is an underground forest that was created by secondary faulting after the formation of the East African Rift Valley. After the briefing, set off to start the trek of these primates and after return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Transfer to the Ishasha sector of the park to search for the famous tree-climbing lions of Uganda. The lions love to rest on top of fig trees during the hot parts of the day but can be seen in the evenings too.

Morning game drive in Ishasha and transfer back to Kampla/ Entebbe

Wake up, have breakfast, and have an early morning game drive in Ishasha to see more of the lions and other wildlife in this particular sector including topis, elephants, and buffaloes. After the game drive, you will begin the journey to Kampala with lunch in Mbarara. You may visit the Centre briefly to learn about the culture of the Ankole people.
