The journey begins in the morning with a drive from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its vibrant birdlife, including flamingos and over 350 recorded species. The park also serves as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, and is home to giraffes, colobus monkeys, leopards, and a variety of plains antelope. It was established to protect endangered species, particularly the rhino.

Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, you’ll return to the lodge for a late breakfast. You’ll then depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, enjoying a scenic drive with a stop en route for a picnic lunch. Upon arrival, you’ll have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience (optional, at an extra cost). Your overnight stay will be at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve

A whole day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve awaits you, starting with morning game drives at 6:30 and ending at 4:00 pm. Hundreds of plains wildlife, as well as predators that hunt them, call the undulating plains of the Mara, the Serengeti's northern extension, home. You will spend the night in the camp and have dinner served.
