1-Day Tanzania Mines and Tanzanite Experience Tour

After an early pick up in Arusha or Moshi, you will travel about 60 kilometres to the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, just south of the Kilimanjaro international airport all the way to the Mererani area. This is the prime location where the Tanzanite mineral was discovered and the only place where you can find in the whole wide world. This precious stone is found about 1000 meters deep underground, on a volcanic igneous rock. You will descend down the mine to explore how the mining process takes place, as you explore the machinery and spend time with the miners on site. This is a full day activity with departures from Arusha town. You carry with a copy of passport and visa for the migration.
