Welcome CKGR

The departure from Maun to the destination camp (Deception valley) in CKGR will be on an early morning. The 316km journey will be done on a safari vehicle which will allow perfect viewing of the flat grasslands. The wildlife in this area include springbok and gemsbok, as well as wildebeest, hartebeest, eland and giraffe. At other times of the year, when the animals are more sparsely distributed wilderness, of seemingly unending dimensions, is amazing. Upon arrival at camp you will be welcomed with lunch and an afternoon siesta. An evening and sunset game drive around deception valley will be in order and upon return to the camp guest will be treated to a hot camp shower before proceeding to dinner around a the campfire.

Kalahari explore

You will spend the day exploring deeper into the Central Kalahari. After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive across open plains and ancient riverbeds. Look out for wildlife like giraffes, wildebeests, cheetahs and large herds of springbok and gemsbok.

You will return to camp for lunch and a short rest. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy another game drive.
In evening, you will relax by the campfire enjoy dinner, and share stories under the stars.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve to Maun

You will begin the day with a light breakfast followed by a final early morning game drive, offering one last chance to spot wildlife and enjoy the peaceful Kalahari landscapes. You will return to camp to pack up and begin the journey back to Maun. You will arrive in Maun by late afternoon marking the end of your safari adventure.
