Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

At around 6:00 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel to begin the journey to the Karamoja region. The drive will take about 10-11 hours, so starting early is essential. You'll have breakfast and lunch along the way, with stops for bathrooms during the trip.

We'll take the central route through Karuma, Gulu, and Kitgum, the most popular path, spanning roughly 571 kilometers and taking around 10 hours. Along the way, you'll get to appreciate the scenic countryside. Once we arrive at your lodge, you'll be welcomed, checked in, and enjoy dinner before settling in for the night.

Game drive and visit the Karamojong Community

After enjoying breakfast in the morning, we’ll head to the park gate, sign in, and begin an exciting game drive. You’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including buffaloes, elephants, zebras, and lions. In the afternoon, we’ll return to the lodge for lunch before heading out to visit a Karamojong community, where you’ll learn about their culture and take part in some of their traditions. After this enriching experience, we’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

The park offers visitors the chance to explore vast savannahs and valleys through guided game drives, providing a fantastic opportunity to spot diverse wildlife in their natural environment. Its remote location adds to the charm, increasing the likelihood of peaceful encounters with animals away from the crowds typical of more popular parks.

Transfer back to Kampala

After an early breakfast, you’ll check out of your room and begin the drive back to Kampala. Taking the eastern route will offer you more stunning views of another beautiful region in Uganda.

You'll stop for lunch along the way and take breaks as needed. Your arrival in Kampala will signify the conclusion of your tour.
