Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive in this breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was designated in 1979. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the few places on Earth where humans and wildlife peacefully coexist. As an optional add-on, you can visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Here, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the culture, traditions, and beliefs of Tanzania's last nomadic community. The crater is renowned for offering some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa, with an abundant wildlife population sustained by a permanent water supply on the crater floor. During your game drive, you'll likely spot endangered black rhinos, wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, elands, gazelles, giant tusked elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and scavengers like spotted hyenas, jackals, and wild dogs. After the game drive, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha.
