Your safari journey begins with an early departure from O.R. Tambo International Airport or accommodations in a 10 km radius around the airport. Traverse the picturesque landscapes of Mpumalanga’s Highveld and Lowveld regions, arriving at Dumela Camp by mid-afternoon.

After a revitalizing break, head out for an exhilarating afternoon game drive through the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon Reserve ending around 19:00 pm (after dark). Keep an eye out for the iconic Big Five - lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos - along with other remarkable wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and hippos.

As the sun dips below the horizon, savor a sundowner in the heart of the bush, enjoying the awe-inspiring African sunset.

Return to camp to relax with dinner around the campfire, exchanging stories and reflecting on the day’s remarkable encounters.

Your day will unfold in one of two exciting ways, depending on the ideal wildlife viewing conditions:

Option 1: Early morning safari
Rise with the sun for a thrilling early-morning game drive through Kruger National Park. Savor a bush breakfast in the heart of the African wilderness, then head deeper into the Orpen-Satara region, famous for its thriving lion population.

Option 2: Relaxed start to the day
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before setting off on a full-day game drive. Explore the park's diverse ecosystems while searching for the legendary Big Five in their natural habitat.

After a day of unforgettable wildlife encounters, return to camp and unwind with dinner by the campfire, reflecting on the day's adventures with fellow travelers.

Following a fulfilling breakfast, we'll say our goodbyes to the stunning African bushveld. At a small additional cost, perhaps add a bush walk or sunrise game drive.

Then, we'll set off on a picturesque drive back to Johannesburg, with our arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport or accommodations in a 10 km radius around the airport is expected between 5 and 6 PM.
