Arusha to Tarangire

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day of wildlife exploration. Accompanied by your safari guide and a packed picnic lunch, enter the park and discover its beautiful landscapes, ancient baobab trees, acacia woodlands and the Tarangire River, a vital water source for wildlife.

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with excellent opportunities to see large herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and a variety of birdlife. Stop for a relaxing picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness before continuing your wildlife adventure.

Later in the afternoon, depart Tarangire and drive to Kizumba Campsite, located near Mto wa Mbu along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy dinner, relax and spend the night surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Tanzanian wilderness.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, travelling through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers beautiful views of the highlands and surrounding countryside before you enter the vast Serengeti plains.

Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive, with opportunities to spot wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and predators such as lions and cheetahs. As the sun begins to set over the endless plains, continue to Seronera Campsite for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay under the African skies.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive through the Serengeti, making the most of your final hours in this remarkable wilderness. With your experienced guide, follow the wildlife trails across the plains and look out for lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and other animals before leaving the park.

Continue your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through changing landscapes as the endless Serengeti plains gradually give way to the lush highlands. The scenic drive offers beautiful views and a glimpse into the diverse landscapes of northern Tanzania.

In the afternoon, arrive at Simba Campsite, located near the Ngorongoro Crater. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and relax in the peaceful surroundings as you prepare for the exciting crater experience ahead.

Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the famous Hippo Pool, surrounded by the crater’s remarkable landscapes and wildlife. After lunch, continue exploring before ascending the crater walls and beginning your journey back to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel, marking the memorable end of your 5-day Tanzanian safari.
