Pick up and drive to Bwindi National Park

In the morning, your driver will meet you at the hotel reception to start the trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a quick introduction, the journey begins.

In the afternoon, there will be a stop at the equator for photos, a bathroom break, and coffee to go before continuing to the park. Depending on how you feel, another stop in Mbarara for lunch can be arranged.

By evening, you’ll arrive at the lodge, check in, enjoy dinner, and relax for the night.

Gorilla Trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you’ll make your way to the gorilla trekking starting point, where park rangers will give you a briefing about the gorilla family you’ll be visiting and the dos and don’ts while in the forest.
The trek takes you through lush terrain until you find the gorilla family, where you’ll have the unforgettable chance to spend up to an hour observing them in their natural habitat.
Once your time with the gorillas is over, you’ll head back to the briefing center to reconnect with your guide. From there, you’ll set off on a scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in time to enjoy a relaxing lunch by the water. The rest of the afternoon can be spent soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, taking in the lake’s beautiful views, or simply unwinding after the morning’s adventure. As evening approaches, you’ll savor a delicious dinner while watching the sun set over the lake’s dotted islands.

Transfer to Entebbe

In the morning, after a hearty breakfast at the lodge, set out for a two-hour community tour by boat and hike, taking in the sights and sounds of the area. After the tour, return to the lodge to check out of your room before starting your transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
The journey offers a relaxed pace, with planned stops for lunch and bathroom breaks along the way, allowing you to stretch and enjoy the scenery one last time. As you travel, you can reflect on the incredible moments and memories made during your Gorilla Trip, from the breathtaking landscapes to the unique cultural encounters.
The route back gives you a chance to soak in the final views of Uganda’s countryside, perhaps catching sight of local markets or friendly faces along the roadside. Upon arriving at the airport or lodge, the adventure reaches its conclusion, marking the end of an unforgettable experience.
