Your journey with Heart of Serengeti ATS begins with a morning pick-up either from your lodge in Arusha or upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After a warm welcome and safari briefing, we depart for Tarangire National Park, carrying lunch boxes for a full-day game drive. By late afternoon, we head to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Tarangire National Park is a haven for elephant lovers and is famed for its scenic mix of savanna, baobab-dotted plains, and the Tarangire River that attracts countless animals. Wildlife sightings may include lions, leopards, buffaloes, and a diverse range of birdlife. It’s a perfect introduction to Tanzania’s natural wonders.

Day 2

Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga Cultural Encounter

Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga Cultural Encounter

After an early breakfast, we set off toward the shores of Lake Eyasi for a unique cultural experience. The day begins with a visit to the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. You’ll be invited to join them on a traditional hunt and learn how they track and forage in the wild.

Later, we meet the Datoga people, known for their craftsmanship in metalwork and jewelry-making. Discover their way of life and visit a local workshop where they shape tools and ornaments using traditional techniques. The day wraps up with a scenic walk by the lake before heading back to your lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After breakfast and check-out, we drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a descent into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. With lunch boxes packed, we spend the day exploring the lush crater floor, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site hosts an amazing range of species—elephants, buffaloes, lions, hyenas, hippos, and the rare black rhino—all within a self-contained ecosystem. Birdlife is equally abundant, especially around the crater lakes. After the game drive, we ascend the crater walls and make our way back to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off at your lodge or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to mark the end of your safari with Heart of Serengeti ATS.
