After time in Tarangire, continue to your included accommodation outside the park for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, leave Tarangire and travel toward Serengeti National Park. The route brings you into the vast plains of one of Tanzania's best-known wildlife areas. Enjoy a game drive as you make your way through the park, looking for grazing herds, giraffes, elephants and the predators that may be nearby. Wildlife sightings vary with the day and season. Continue to your included accommodation inside the Serengeti for the night.

Spend a full day on game drives in Serengeti National Park, with time to explore its open plains and other habitats. Your guide will look for lions, cheetahs, hyenas and the herbivores that move through this ecosystem, while adapting the route to conditions on the day. There is no fixed wildlife checklist; the appeal is watching the landscape and its animals unfold at a natural pace. Return to your Serengeti accommodation in the evening.

After breakfast, leave the Serengeti and travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive through grassland, woodland and wetland habitats. You may see zebra, buffalo, hippos and predators; the rare black rhino is possible but never guaranteed. The crater's varied scenery makes this a memorable final wildlife stop before you climb out and continue to your included accommodation in Karatu for the night.

Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha
Head to Lake Manyara National Park for a final game drive. Its forest, lake edge and Rift Valley setting offer a striking change from the open Serengeti plains. Look for birdlife, hippos and other wildlife; the park's tree-climbing lions are a possibility, never a promise. After your visit, travel back to Arusha, where your five-day safari ends.
