Day 1

Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from your Zanzibar hotel to the airport for your 8:00 a.m. flight to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by your professional safari guide and transfer to Tarangire National Park, a landscape renowned for its towering baobab trees and vast herds of elephants.

Tarangire spans nearly 3,000 km² and is named after the Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline that attracts enormous concentrations of wildlife, Your morning and afternoon game drives will take you across open plains, acacia woodlands, and riverine forests. Expect to spot large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and over 500 bird species, including vibrant hornbills and pink flamingos. Predators such as lions and leopards are also present but more elusive, adding excitement to your wildlife spotting.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart for the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, often called the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Formed nearly 2 million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption collapsed inward, it is the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth, stretching over 19 km wide and surrounded by towering 600-meter-high walls.

Descend to the crater floor for a full-day game drive. This extraordinary natural sanctuary features diverse habitats lush forests, hippo-filled wetlands, and sweeping grasslands supporting over 30,000 animals. It offers one of the best chances to see the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, along with zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, and abundant birdlife.

You may also witness Maasai pastoralists grazing cattle nearby, a unique example of human-wildlife coexistence. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater rim and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, reflecting on an unforgettable day in Africa’s natural wonder.

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet spectacular park known for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and troops of baboons. The park’s lush green landscapes, which include dense forests, floodplains, and alkaline lake shores, contrast beautifully with the other parks visited on your safari.

Enjoy a game drive, spotting diverse wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, flamingos, and an incredible variety of bird species. This short but memorable visit will add depth to your Tanzanian safari experience, highlighting the incredible biodiversity of northern Tanzania.

After the game drive, you will drive back to Arusha, where you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, concluding your unforgettable 3-day Tanzania fly-in safari adventure.
