The Gorillas of Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, you'll head to the rangers’ post for a briefing on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is like stepping into a lost world, unchanged in millennia. This forest is a biological hotspot that is home to an astonishing variety of species, from mammals and birds to plants and insects. The going is not easy through the seemingly impenetrable wall of vegetation that closes in on you, but the sounds of a gorilla family group noisily breaking branches somewhere ahead get your pulse racing. Creeping closer in the footsteps of the trackers, the moment comes when you finally set eyes on one of our closest relatives on this planet, and all your fatigue vanishes. You would be allowed to stay with them for 1 hour and thereafter return to the guest house to check out and head out to Lake Bunyonyi, which is popular for its green and lush terraced hills, 29 islands each with its own story, and with a plethora of over 200 bird species.

After a delicious mind mind-relaxing breakfast, you'll check out of the accommodation and embark on the return journey back to Entebbe and arrive in the evening for your flight.
