Lake Manyara, extending for 50 kilometers at the base of the 600-meter-high rusty gold Rift Valley escarpment, is a scenic treasure. From the entrance gate, the road meanders through a lush, jungle-like groundwater forest where hundreds of baboons lounge casually by the roadside.
