Your journey begins today with a scenic drive heading west through Uganda’s countryside. As you pass Mityana and continue toward Fort Portal, you’ll be treated to views of rolling hills and lush farmland. You'll stop for a leisurely lunch in Fort Portal before heading to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its dense jungle and rich biodiversity. In the afternoon, you’ll settle into your accommodation at Chimpanzee Forest Guesthouse or similar, a charming spot where you can relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2

After morning breakfast, you'll proceed to the chimps near Kanyanchu. This can take you half a day. There are primates in the area like the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys, and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants, unique from the common type, giant forest hogs, and a striking tree species.
After tracking, you'll transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for the boat cruise at Irungu on Kazinga Channel, where you will encounter a variety of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, and birds. You'll proceed to dinner and an overnight stay at Pumba Safari Cottages.

Day 3
Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You'll wake up to an early breakfast and go for an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi area, where you will encounter African elephants, herds of buffalo, elands, bushbuck, topis, and warthogs among others.
Later, you'll exit the park and embark on your journey to Bwindi with lunch en route in Kabale town. You'll proceed to Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge.

Day 4

You'll have an early morning breakfast, head to the park office headquarters with a packed lunch for a vital briefing before trekking the gorillas in the thick, impenetrable forest. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas after having trekked for about 5-8 hours.
After the trek, you will return to the lodge, freshen up, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, arriving in the evening. You'll enjoy the scenery, have dinner, and stay overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort or similar.

Day 5
Explore Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer to Musanze / Ruhengeri
Explore Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer to Musanze / Ruhengeri
You'll enjoy breakfast close to the Lake and go for a motorized canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi with a resident guide and explore the various Islands on the Lake, each with its legend! You will also encounter lots of birds. Later, you'll transfer to Musanze / Ruhengeri in Rwanda, crossing through the Cyanika border.
En route, you will visit the twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo with a beautiful view and birds. You'll proceed to Musanze, arriving late afternoon. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Hotel Muhabura or similar.

Day 6
Iby-lwachu Cultural Village Experience
Iby-lwachu Cultural Village Experience
Today, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich culture of Rwanda by visiting Iby’Iwachu Cultural Village, where you’ll learn about the traditional life of the Rwandan people. The village offers a variety of experiences, from guided walks to performances of traditional dances and music. You’ll also discover the local herbal medicine practices, visit a banana brewery, and even try the local banana beer. In addition, you’ll engage in pottery making with the Batwa people and witness craftsmanship by local artisans. The day culminates with a cultural performance around a campfire, where stories and riddles of old Rwanda will be shared. You'll return to Hotel Muhabura for another restful night.

Day 7
Transfer to Gisenyi / Rubavu – Lake Kivu
Transfer to Gisenyi / Rubavu – Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you'll embark on a journey to Gisenyi, a lakeside town on Lake Kivu, one of Rwanda’s most beautiful and tranquil destinations. Upon arrival, you’ll have the afternoon to relax on the beach, enjoy the views of the lake, or simply unwind at your hotel, Paradise Malahide Hotel. The serene atmosphere of the lake is perfect for rest and rejuvenation.

Day 8
Explore Gisenyi & Transfer to Kigali
Explore Gisenyi & Transfer to Kigali
You'll have breakfast and explore the shoreline of Lake Kivu and visit the Gisenyi market. Later, you'll transfer to Kigali with lunch en route, arriving in the afternoon. You'll visit the Genocide memorial, the Caplaki crafts village, and the Kimironko market. You'll proceed for an overnight stay in Kigali or catch up with your scheduled flight back home.
