Masai Mara National Reserve

In the morning, we will drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is well known for the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration and is home to the “Big Five:” lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. After lunch at our lodge, you will relax before departing for an afternoon game drive.

The Mara is one of the greatest wilderness areas in the world. Large mammals are plentiful and easy to see. Resident species include giraffe, buffalo, eland, and thousands of plains game such as impala, zebra, topi, and both Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early morning breakfast, we will depart for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch in hand to enjoy in the park. We will spend the day in the Mara—one of the greatest wildernesses in the world—on morning and afternoon game drives. Large mammals are varied, abundant, and easy to see. Resident species include giraffe, eland, topi, and thousands of plains game such as impala, zebra, and both Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles.

Optional hot air balloon rides are available, where guests can enjoy a bush breakfast before flying over the park for a bird’s-eye view with animals visible to the horizon.

During our stay, there is also an opportunity to visit a nearby village to witness the traditional singing and dancing that are party of the daily life and sacred rituals of the local people. A glimpse into their homes and social structure offers a memorable cultural experience.

Return to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and your overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Naivasha

Have breakfast and depart for Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. On arrival, have lunch, then visit the lake and enjoy a boat ride. Lake Naivasha has a variety of birdlife as well as other wild animals. You will explore the lake for the whole afternoon. It is a gem in the necklace of Rift Valley lakes, with many bird species and hippo colonies. If time allows, we can visit Hell’s Gate before the end of the day.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
