1-Day Akagera Big Five and Scenic Boat Safari

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your journey begins with an early 05:00 AM pick-up from your hotel in Kigali, followed by a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah national park and home to the Big Five. Enjoy a light breakfast en route before arriving at the park headquarters for registration.

At 09:00 AM, embark on a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you'll spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife along the papyrus-lined shores. Afterwards, continue on a game drive through Akagera's rolling hills, open plains, woodlands, and wetlands in search of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and, with luck, lions and leopards.

Enjoy a hot lunch at Lake Mihindi Restaurant before continuing your afternoon safari. At approximately 5:00 PM, exit the park and return to Kigali, arriving at your hotel or Kigali International Airport at around 8:00 PM.
