On arrival at Kigali International Airport (morning arrival), our Dedicated team of Baheka Travel will be at the Kigali International airport waiting for you. Our guide will brief you about the tour and transfer to Akagera National Park home of Big 5. You will rewarded with Landscapes and hills before reaching the lodge.
Expect to see some animals such as elephants, Giraffes, lions, buffaloes etc. Check in, have your lunch at the lodge, relax. And afternoon sunset boat cruise where you will get closer to several hippos, bird species on the Lake Ihema. Drive back to the lodge for evening relaxation.

Akagera is known as one of the most scenic savannahs in East Africa. After your breakfast, have your packed lunch. You will start off the day with the morning boat cruise where you are rewarded with several hippos, crocodiles and bird species on Lake Ihema. You will visit the Giraffe area in the south and the lakes road up towards Birengero. Akagera National Park is home to elephant, Lions, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and antelope and many more. Have a stopover for your packed lunch at the picnic area. Continue with a drive straight back to Kigali. Arrival at the hotel, relax with dinner and rest.

Early morning, pick up from Kigali to Butare city

After your early breakfast, you will drive to Butare, the second Largest and the intellectual city of Rwanda. It hosts the national Museum an several academic and research institutions.

On your way, you will visit Nyanza(current Nyabisidu)) the former Mwami’s palace (King’s palace) and the seat of feudal Monarchy. The Palace has been reconstructed to 19th century.

You will also visit the National Museum which is one of. If not the finest ethnographic museums in East Africa. which is a good source information about cultural history of Rwanda.
