Nairobi - Tsavo East

Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a departure from Nairobi, Mombasa, or Diani either by road or via the SGR train to Voi, where you’ll be met and transferred to Tsavo East National Park. Upon arrival at the park, you’ll enter through either the Bachuma or Voi Gate and begin your first game drive. As you journey through the vast semi-arid landscape, you'll have the opportunity to spot Tsavo's iconic red elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and other wildlife. By midday, you’ll arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for check-in and lunch. After a short rest, head out again for an afternoon game drive to explore more of the park’s diverse terrain and wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Tsavo East Experience

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. This is your chance to explore deeper into Tsavo East, including landmarks such as the Aruba Dam, a popular spot for wildlife viewing, and the Lugard Falls along the Galana River, known for its natural rock formations and hippo pools. You may also visit the Mudanda Rock, a massive, whale-backed rock outcrop that offers panoramic views and is a favorite elephant watering spot. Throughout the day, you’ll encounter a wide variety of wildlife, from lions and leopards to buffaloes, ostriches, and a rich diversity of birds. In the late afternoon, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, with time to unwind and reflect on the day's sightings.
