Pickup from Airport or Hotel and Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Tracking Safari starts with our driver/guide picking you up from your residence/hotel in Kampala or Entebbe at 7:00 am.

Your driver/guide will then drive you to Bwindi via Masaka and Mbarara towns (approx. 9hrs). You shall make a brief stopover at the famous Uganda Equator line for some snacks and photography.

You will stop again in Mbarara for lunch before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. From Mbarara, you will drive to Bwindi and reach your accommodation during the evening hours. You will have time to explore the community and surroundings for a short while.

Enjoy Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the big day! Prepare yourself for an encounter with the gentle giants; the rare mountain gorillas.

For most people, this is the absolute highlight of their tour. You will go into the forest in groups of not more than 8 in search of mountain gorillas. En route, your guide will point out previous signs of gorilla activity such as dung, nests, and chewed bamboo shoots. Your trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes, and bamboo. Upon finding the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them after which you will be led back to the starting point.

In the evening, you will go for a community visit and cultural experience of the local Bakiga and Batwa tribes that live close to Bwindi. You will learn about their lives, history, and traditions.

Drive from Bwindi back to Entebbe Airport

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your accommodation, Afterwards, begin your scenic return journey to Entebbe International Airport. Along the way, you will stop for lunch and make a memorable visit to the Uganda Equator line in Kayabwe, where you can take photos and browse a selection of local art and crafts. Continue with the drive, arriving in Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening for drop-off at the airport in time for your onward flight home.
