Day 2

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will depart for Jinja for an unforgettable white-water rafting adventure on the Nile. This thrilling experience can be enjoyed as either a full-day or half-day activity, depending on your preference. Renowned as one of the most exciting white-water rafting experiences in the world, the journey covers up to 31 km of exhilarating rapids. The adventure is perfectly concluded with a delicious barbecue lunch and complimentary drinks, a memorable highlight of your 10 Days Uganda Safari.

Day 3
Drive to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park in western Uganda on a scenic drive of approximately 8 hours, including a relaxed lunch stop in Fort Portal town. Along the journey, you will pass through charming small towns, vibrant villages, lush tea plantations, and colorful roadside markets, offering a beautiful insight into Uganda’s countryside and everyday life. You will arrive in Kibale with ample time to relax, unwind, and settle in after a rewarding day of travel.

Day 4

Enjoy early morning breakfast, then go to the park headquarters for a briefing about tracking. Accompanied by park rangers, you'll embark on a guided primate walk through the lush tropical forest in search of chimps and up to 12 other primate species, including L’Hoest’s monkeys, red colobus, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and other forest inhabitants. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will enjoy a memorable 1 hour encounter observing their fascinating behavior in their natural habitat.
After the trek, return to the park offices and then head back to your lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you will visit the local community and enjoy a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, famous for the magnificent Great Blue Turaco. This rich wetland is home to approximately 200 bird species and eight primate species, offering excellent birdwatching opportunities. Later in the day, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Enjoy breakfast, then head to the legendary Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves, a historical and cultural site located about 10 km from Fort Portal town. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable safari guide who will share fascinating stories, legends, and historical insights about this remarkable place. As the visit involves exploring the caves, you are advised to carry a flashlight, wear hiking boots, long trousers, and suitable outdoor gear. After exploring the caves, you will enjoy a guided hike around the surrounding explosion crater lakes, offering breathtaking views and a serene natural setting. Return to Fort Portal town for lunch, followed by a visit to the Tooro Kingdom Palace, where you will gain insight into the rich cultural heritage of the Tooro Kingdom.
Following lunch, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest national park, enjoying ever-changing landscapes and spectacular views of the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges along the way.

After breakfast, you'll set out on a game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse and wildlife-rich protected areas. The park’s remarkable ecosystem of open savannah plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, crater lakes, and volcanic landscapes supports an impressive variety of wildlife. With the Rwenzori Mountains forming a dramatic backdrop, you'll have chances of spotting lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, Cape buffaloes, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, topi, and bushbuck, among many other species.
After lunch, you will enjoy a relaxing 2–3 hour boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which links Lake George to Lake Edward. This cruise takes you through one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa, while offering close-up views of animals gathering along the water’s edge to drink and cool off. Following the boat trip, relax for the evening and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7

After breakfast, you will depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel through the Ishasha sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions, before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This scenic journey takes you through the breathtaking Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa” for its rolling hills and dramatic landscapes.
The drive winds through beautifully terraced hills, lush valleys, and panoramic viewpoints before reaching the dense rainforest of Bwindi. You will enjoy a relaxed stopover in Kabale town for lunch before continuing to your lodge near the forest, where you can unwind in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Today is the long-awaited highlight of your adventure, an extraordinary encounter with the gentle giants of the forest, the rare and majestic mountain gorillas. This unforgettable experience is the pinnacle of this safari. After an early briefing, you will set off in small groups of no more than eight people, accompanied by expert guides and trackers, as you enter into the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Along the way, your guide will interpret signs of recent gorilla activity, such as nests, dung, and chewed bamboo shoots, bringing the forest to life as you trek.
The hike takes you through mist-covered forested slopes, dense undergrowth, tangled vines, and bamboo thickets, making the journey as thrilling as the destination itself. Upon locating the gorillas, you will be allowed a 1 hour encounter to observe them at close range in their natural habitat, a life-changing experience. You can carry packed lunch or enjoy your lunch at the lodge on return.

Day 9

After breakfast, you will depart Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch, after which you can relax and enjoy some leisure time. For those with energy, the afternoon offers the option of a game drive, where you will encounter zebras, elands, buffaloes, oribi, and a variety of other savannah species.
Lake Mburo is also a paradise for birdwatchers, boasting over 250 bird species. Highlights include the striking Papyrus Gonolek, Brown-faced Lapwing, Carruthers’s Cisticola, the rare White-winged Warbler, and the fascinating Bare-faced Go-away Bird, providing an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 10
Drive back to Entebbe
Drive back to Entebbe
After breakfast, enjoy an exciting guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, escorted by an armed ranger to ensure your safety. Along the way, you'll encounter zebras grazing peacefully alongside the long-horned Ankole cattle, as well as a variety of other savannah wildlife. Early risers may even have the chance to spot Lake Mburo’s elusive hyenas in their caves. After the walk, you will return to the lodge and begin the drive back to Entebbe.
En route, enjoy a fascinating stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers, where you will witness traditional methods of crafting ceremonial drums, passed down through generations. There will also be an opportunity to pause at the Equator for memorable photographs and a unique experience at this iconic landmark.
