Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your Kilibeyond Adventure Safari guide will pick you up from your lodging. You will then embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately two and a half hours along well-maintained tarmac roads. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River that flows through it, serving as the sole water source for local wildlife during the dry season, often referred to as the ‘river of warthogs.’ Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, frequently spotted near the river, along with other wildlife such as giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Notably, Tarangire boasts the highest diversity of breeding bird species found anywhere in the world. Additionally, you will encounter the impressive and ancient Baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic area within the park, and following your game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation in Karatu.

Ngorongoro Crater
After enjoying breakfast, you will travel into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The first sight of the Ngorongoro Crater reveals a realm that seems untouched by time. Enclosed by towering volcanic walls, this pristine wilderness boasts expansive savannahs, clusters of acacia trees, and sparkling lakes and swamps. The Crater was formed two to three million years ago when a colossal volcano erupted and collapsed inward, covering an area of 260 km². It is celebrated for its geological features and as a natural reserve that supports some of the densest populations of large mammals in Africa. As you descend into the Crater, you will quickly encounter large groups of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. This location provides a prime opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino. You will have lunch at a picnic site on the Crater Floor, and after your game drive, you will head back to your accommodation in Karatu.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located 120 kilometers west of Arusha. This park, though small, boasts remarkable diversity. It is characterized by its compactness—being one of the narrowest parks in Africa—while also featuring the majestic Great Rift Escarpment that rises dramatically along the western edge of Lake Manyara. The park is named after its shallow, saline lake, which occupies a significant portion of the area, fluctuating between flooding and drying with the seasons. This lake is a sanctuary for thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park. After your game drive, you will bid farewell to your guide and be dropped off at your preferred location, such as Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport.
