In the morning, your guide will meet you at the lodge reception for pick-up before setting off on a scenic drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing tea plantations, rolling hills, and rural villages. On arrival, you’ll check into a lodge with stunning views of the Kazinga Channel. In the afternoon and evening, head out for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and lions. The open savannah is perfect for wildlife viewing during the golden hours, as predators gear up for the hunt. Later, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2
Game drive, Boat ruise and transfer to Kibale National park

Start your day early with a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, one of the top spots for wildlife viewing. You might spot lions and leopards hunting in the morning, large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs grazing in the savannah, along with various bird species like grey crowned cranes. After the four-hour game drive, head to the Kazinga Channel for a two-hour boat safari. This waterway links Lake Edward and Lake George and is home to hippos and crocodiles basking on the shores, elephants and buffaloes cooling off in the water, and an array of water birds, including kingfishers and pelicans. Later, transfer to Fort Portal, check in, and spend the night at your lodge.

Day 3

Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp visit
The day starts with breakfast at 6 a.m., followed by a drive to the briefing center to learn the Dos and Don’ts of the trek from park rangers. Kibale National Park, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, is one of Africa’s top spots for tracking these incredible primates. The trek takes you deep into the lush rainforest, where you might also spot black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. After finding the chimpanzees, you’ll spend an hour watching them groom, feed, and interact before heading to lunch and then visiting the Bigodi community swamp. The Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary, near Kibale, is a community-run conservation area teeming with biodiversity, hosting over 200 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, eight primate species like red colobus monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys, as well as other wildlife such as bushbucks, mongooses, and sitatungas.

Day 4
Transfer to Entebbe or Kampala
Transfer to Entebbe or Kampala
After breakfast in the morning, you’ll check out of your room and we’ll begin the drive back to Entebbe or Kampala to your lodge, making a few stops along the way for lunch and bathroom breaks. We’ll also stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for some photos. Upon arrival at your lodge, your safari with us will come to an end, and we’ll wish you a wonderful journey back home.
