Upon arrival at Kigali International airport in Rwanda, Our guide will be waiting for you to start this amazing 4 day best of Rwanda -Uganda Gorilla and Golden Monkey trekking tour. We recommend you arrive on a flight early enough today or you arrive a day before in that the guide can pick you early enough from the hotel in Kigali. If their is time, you will have time to see some of the Kigali city (Optional) then proceed to Volcanoes National Park, located in the north of Ruhengeri. The drive to volcanoes national park is such a breathtaking one which is covered with thrilling views so keep your eyes outside so that you do not miss any thing. Upon arrival at the lodge you will check and rest for the rest of the Evening.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you will check out from the lodge and start your transfer to Volcanoes national park in Kinigi office headquarters for a golden monkey trekking briefing. Then, you will hike up into the rainforest to a troop of golden monkeys. Once you find the golden monkeys, you’re allowed to stay with them for 1 hour. After meeting the golden monkeys', you will transfer to Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda via the Rwanda -Border of Cyanika. You will have lunch en route before arrival to the lodge in Rushaga Bwindi. Upon arrival at the lodge you will check in and relax at the lodge.

Day 3

Enjoy an early breakfast, then proceed to the briefing point for the highlight of your trip - gorilla trekking. It can last from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the family you are visiting. We trek through the rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes, accompanied by an Uganda Wildlife Authority guide and other trackers in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. Due to the nature of the activity, you will have a packed lunch. Later after trekking, you will be taken to meet the remaining forest people (Batwa). These people are the shortest people we have in the Uganda and they used to stay in the forest with the gorillas, but due to conservation efforts; they no longer live in the forest. Afterward, you will drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. You will have dinner and overnight at Heritage lodge Habuharo.

Depending on your flight time, you will start your morning with breakfast and after you will go for a boat ride to visit some of the key islands that make up Lake Bunyonyi. After an hour or 2 of exploring, you will start your transfer to Kigali expecting to arrive late in the afternoon. Upon arrival in Kigali, Rwanda your driver guide will be advised on the drop-off point and or at your hotel or at the airport targeting your outbound departure time.
