Arrival to Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National park

Upon arrival to Kigali, you will meet our safari representative who will meet you and thereafter transfer you to volcanoes National park, a home to the Mountain Gorillas for an encounter with the rare mountain Gorillas. An overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla view Lodge (Full-board basis).

Gorilla tracking experience in the park

After breakfast in the lodge, you will prepare for the rewarding Gorilla tracking experience. Your safari guide will transfer you to the briefing areas for the formalities, thereafter lead you through the forests in search for the Mountain Gorillas. This is a very rewarding experience where you will have an hour with the Gorillas once they have been tracked. Later in the evening, accommodation will be at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.

Morning Dian Fossey tomb hike and transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing and orientation. You will thereafter embark on the hike to Dian Fossey’s grave. The average altitude of the hike is about 2900 to 3000m above the sea level. During the hike, you will encounter several animals and bird species.
Your safari guide will give you plenty of information on how Dian Fossey saved the rare mountain Gorillas from extinction during her work. You will thereafter return to the lodge for preparations before being transferred to the airport for your outbound flight.
