Day 1

After the tour, depart Kigali and transfer to Musanze, a scenic drive of approximately 110 km taking about 2.5–3 hours through Rwanda’s beautiful rolling hills and countryside landscapes.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, transfer to the headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for a briefing before setting out on an exciting Golden Monkey trekking experience. Trek through the bamboo forests at the foothills of the Virunga Mountains in search of these playful and endangered primates, known for their energetic movements and striking golden-orange fur.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning your journey towards Uganda with a border crossing through Cyanika. Continue to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Enjoy scenic views of the rolling hills and terraced countryside along the way.

Arrive at the lodge in Bwindi in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Batwa Cultural Trail

After an early breakfast, transfer to the briefing point at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing by the park rangers before beginning your unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience. Hike through the dense tropical rainforest in search of one of the habituated gorilla families while enjoying the rich biodiversity of the forest. Once the gorillas are located, spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and interact.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for the Batwa Cultural Trail experience. Learn about the traditions, survival skills, music, dance, and history of the Batwa people, the original forest inhabitants of Bwindi, through guided community interactions and storytelling.

Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be dropped off at the airport or your preferred location, marking the end of your unforgettable Rwanda and Uganda primate adventure.
