Discover Andasibe-Mantadia National Park

After breakfast, your professional English-speaking Malagasy guide and driver will pick you up from Maison Gallieni. Embark on a 3.5-hour drive east to the escarpment, where you’ll stay for 3 nights in an en-suite bungalow at Andasibe Hotel or Vakona Forest Lodge on a half-board basis.

Your guides will take you on both day and night rainforest walks, where you’ll search for wildlife like the remarkable Indris, whose calls resemble those of humpback whales.

On a night walk, explore the rainforest concession managed by the proactive Non-Governmental Organisation Association Mitsinjo. Another night could see you discovering a private rainforest area, cared for by VoImma, a guiding association in Andasibe. Both locations offer incredible nocturnal wildlife experiences, particularly during the spring and summer months (September to April).

Nosy Be Archipelago

You’ll be transferred to Antananarivo Airport for your flight to Nosy Be. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you and take you to Residence Villas, where you’ll spend four nights in a private villa complete with a jacuzzi. Your stay includes all meals.

While at The Residence, you can book a variety of optional excursions through reception (payable locally). One popular outing is a boat trip to Tanikely Island, a protected marine reserve known for its excellent snorkelling and diving opportunities.

Wildlife lovers can explore Lokobe National Park, located in the southeast of Nosy Be. This protected area preserves the island’s last Sambirano Forest and shelters species such as endangered Black lemurs and vividly coloured Panther chameleons. Reaching Lokobe is part of the adventure, with part of the journey taking place by traditional dugout canoe.

Return to Antananarivo

You’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Nosy Be Airport to check in for your Air Madagascar flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a representative and, time permitting, taken to the Artisans Market for some last-minute souvenir shopping.

A day room will be available for your use at Relais des Plateaux, offering a chance to relax and freshen up before your journey. Later in the evening, you’ll be transferred back to the airport to check in for your Air France flight.
