Day 1

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, your guide will be at your hotel reception ready for pick up heading southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you through scenic countryside, lush rolling hills, and small villages, providing a glimpse into Uganda’s rural life. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Equator for a brief photo opportunity and a fascinating demonstration of the Coriolis effect, and enroute lunch.
Upon arrival at Bwindi, you’ll check into your lodge and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience. Bwindi is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, making it one of the best places for this rare wildlife encounter. In the evening, you will enjoy a cultural performance by the Batwa people, learning about their traditions and deep connection to the forest. Then later dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking & transfer to Lake Mburo National park

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you’ll venture into the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you find them, you’ll have one magical hour to observe their behavior, interactions, and unique personalities.
The experience of being in close proximity to these gentle giants is truly awe-inspiring. You’ll witness them feeding, playing, and caring for their young, offering a rare glimpse into their world. After the trek, you’ll return to your car we drive to kabale town for lunch and drive to Lake Mburo National Park.
On arrival to the lodge you check in and have an evening nature walk to stretch, with a chance to see zebras. Lter return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Mburo National Park may be Uganda’s smallest savanna park, but it’s packed with wildlife, from zebras and giraffes to impalas, elands, and warthogs. Instead of the usual game drive, this safari offers a guided walking tour, giving you the chance to explore on foot and get up close to nature.
After breakfast, your guide will take you across the park’s open plains, pointing out animal tracks, fascinating plants, hidden wildlife, and a variety of birds. You’ll then return to the lodge to check out, enjoy lunch along the way, and head to your next destination. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your safari.
