Day 1

Arusha-Serengeti National Park

Arusha-Serengeti National Park

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel as you set off toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Depending on the season, you might be lucky enough to witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration — a sweeping movement of wildebeests, zebras across the vast plains.

During the short rains of October and November, these animals typically journey southward from Kenya’s Masai Mara into the northwestern Serengeti, eventually reaching the southern plains. Following the long rains of April through June, the herds begin their return, sweeping back through the western and northern corridors of the park. Do note, their route is largely dictated by rainfall, so patterns can shift from year to year.

Your guide will be on the lookout for the best wildlife sightings, ensuring you get front-row views of this natural spectacle. With the migration often come predators — lions, cheetahs, and hyenas — so you might even witness nature’s raw drama unfold.
