Day 1

We will begin our adventure with an early morning departure from Kampala, enjoying the scenic Ugandan countryside. You will enjoy local towns, garden fields sweeping through our car windows, and roadside vendors fending for their families an experience that truly defines African lifestyle. Arrive at the hotel in Lake Mburo National Park by midday for lunch at your accommodation.
In the late afternoon, prepare for an exciting evening game drive. Explore the park's wildlife, including zebras, impalas, and hippos. We shall continue to Kazuma hill which offers a perfect view of six lakes with in Lake Mburo ecosystem as the sun set gets us stuck in the heart of the wild while our knowledgeable guide shares insights about the ecosystem. This thrilling experience marks a memorable start to your safari. Alternatively, you can extend till night for a night game where you have an opportunity to explore the nocturnal world.

Cultural Experience and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

We will wake up early in the morning and enjoy a cup of tea and snacks before heading to one of the local homesteads leaving near the park. Lake Mburo National Parks shares borders with the Traditional Bahima Society which is renowned for its long-horned cows. The Bahima were nomadic, moving from place to place in search of pasture for their livestock. However, the current Government limited their movements and they were forced to settle in one area. The visit to this community offers an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their lifestyle.

After the cultural experience, we will return to the hotel and pick our language as we depart for Bwindi taking in the scenic landscapes along the way. Upon our arrival in Bwindi in the afternoon, we will check into our hotel, where you can unwind and relax after the day's travel. The evening will be yours to enjoy at leisure, giving you the perfect opportunity to rest and prepare for the adventures that await.

Today promises an unforgettable adventure as we start with an early morning transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Park rangers will share essential safety guidelines and insights about gorilla behavior as you prepare to trek into the lush forests.
After the briefing, we’ll hike into the forest, where we'll observe diverse flora and fauna, guided by a knowledgeable team who will point out unique wildlife along the way.
The excitement builds as we enter gorilla territory, where we hope to spend an hour with these magnificent creatures, observing their natural behaviors and the importance of conservation.
In the evening, we'll visit the Batwa community to immerse ourselves in their rich culture, engaging with members and learning about their traditions through music and dance. As the sun sets, we’ll reflect on the deep connections made with both the gorillas and the Batwa people, concluding a truly enriching day in the wild.

Day 4

Bwindi Impenetrable to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up for the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most famous park in Uganda. The drive will take us through Ishasha, the southern sector of the park, which is renowned for its tree-climbing lions. These lions are known to climb fig trees after their meals to rest, and keep an eye on their prey. On a lucky day, these lions may be spotted lounging in tree branches. However this experience is unexpected because in most cases these lions are down in the tall savanna grass perhaps hunting or even eating! By noon time, we will already be at the hotel for lunch and refreshments. In the Afternoon, we will head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise which is one of the perfect ways of interacting with wildlife up close. As a main water stream in the area, the Kazinga Channel attracts a variety of wildlife species from different parts of the park. Thereafter, proceed with an evening game drive before returning to the lodge.

After enjoying an early cup of tea or brewed coffee, we will set off on an exhilarating morning game drive through the stunning landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park. As the sun rises, casting a golden hue over the Kasenyi plains, we will have the opportunity to witness a diverse array of wildlife in their natural habitat. Be on the lookout for animals like elephants, elusive leopards, lions, hyenas and herds of buffalo, as well as a multitude of bird species that call this vibrant ecosystem home.

Upon our return to the lodge, we will enjoy our late breakfast, featuring a selection of dishes to energize us for the day ahead. After the meal, we check-out and embark on a scenic drive to Kibale Forest, where the enchanting sights and sounds of the rainforest await. This journey promises to be filled with the beauty of Uganda's landscapes and the thrill of encountering its remarkable wildlife.

Day 6

We’ll begin our day with an early breakfast at 6:00 AM to ensure that by 8:00 we're at the park headquarters for an important briefing on chimpanzee trekking, covering safety protocols and expectations.
Then after briefing, we’ll embark on our chimpanzee trek, usually taking 2 to 5 hours as we navigate through the forest. Keep an eye out for other fascinating primates in the forest like the black and white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, L’hoest's monkeys and blue monkeys. The forest also hosts a variety of bird species.
After our trek, we'll return to the lodge for lunch and share our stories.

In the afternoon, we’ll depart for the beautiful crater lakes exploration and learn about the area's natural history.
As the day winds down, we’ll visit the Bigodi Wetlands, home to diverse bird species and wildlife, providing a peaceful end to our adventurous day while we reflect on our experiences against the backdrop of a stunning sunset.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your accommodation, you'll start your journey back to Kampala. As you travel along the scenic route, the first highlight of the day will be a stop at the iconic Uganda Equator. This is a prime opportunity to take memorable photographs and explore the significance of this landmark, which marks the geographical division between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
While at the Equator, you can partake in various activities, such as experiencing the unique water experiments that demonstrate the Coriolis effect, or simply enjoying the local crafts and souvenirs available at nearby shops.
Afterward, you'll continue your drive towards Kampala.
