Today morning, you will be greeted by our friendly driver-guide at your place of residence in Kigali, who will take you to and from the gorilla trekking experience in Uganda. After meeting and greeting, you kick start a drive to Bwindi through the Katuna border, reaching your lodge in the evening. Bwindi National Park is home to over half of the world's largest population of mountain gorillas.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today, you will have a hearty breakfast at your lodge and then drive to the park headquarters with all of your luggage and trekking gear for a pre-trek briefing. On arrival at the park offices, you will be joined by other trekking participants as you receive a briefing and registration. Later, you'll ascend to the forest. Gorilla trekking can take several hours, from 1 to 7 hours, depending on where they are feeding from. Once they have been spotted, you will be allowed 1hour with them as you interact with them, learning their behavior and taking photos as they will be busy foraging. After a successful trek, you'll head back to the starting point to meet your guide as you head back on your journey to Volcanoes National Park, crossing through the Chanika border.

Day 3

Today, you will have a hearty breakfast at your lodge and then drive to the park headquarters for your second gorilla trek (optional: at an extra fee of 800$) with all of your luggage and trekking gear for a pre-trek briefing. On arrival at the park offices, you will be joined by other trekking participants as you receive a briefing and registration. Later, you'll ascend to the forest. Gorilla trekking can take several hours, from 1 to 7 hours, depending on where they are feeding from. Once they have been spotted, you will be allowed 1 hour with them as you interact with them, learning their behavior and taking photos as they will be busy foraging. After a successful trek, you'll head back to the starting point to meet your guide as you head to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali
Your golden monkey trek will begin in the morning with a hearty breakfast. You'll drive to the park headquarters, where you will meet the park ranger-guide who will first take you through a briefing about the do's and don'ts while tracking. He will then lead you to the forest to trek for these rare golden monkeys. After a successful trek, you'll transfer to Kigali to catch your inbound scheduled journey back home.
