Today is the day you have been waiting for. After early breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to the starting point for briefing about the gorilla trekking adventure you are about to take. You will be briefed by experienced ranger guides and trackers from Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Coming face to face with Mountain gorillas depends on where they nested the previous night and can take 2-7 hours before you meet them.
Gorilla tracking can be physically demanding but the whole experience is amazing and worth it. You will track a habituated family which is comfortable with human presence. Once you meet these beautiful gentle giant gorillas, you will be allowed one hour with them, watching how they interact with their young ones, vocalize and feed.

Visitors have to report to the Kinigi Park Headquarters (at 7am) where they will meet the park ranger guides for briefing and then drive to the start of trek which is 15 minutes away at the edge of the park.
The monkeys will be easily found as they live at the bottom of the volcano mountains in the bamboo forest, and by following clues of fresh leftovers from eaten bamboo shoot and leaves the trackers are able to locate them in less than an hour. Visitors spend a maximum of one hour watching closely these incredibly beautiful monkeys as they skillfully pick bamboo shoots and young bamboo leaves while making. They are some of the least shy monkeys as you can get so close to.
