Day 1

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our assigned driver-guide and briefed about your safari before beginning the journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a drive of approximately 4 to 5 hours through Uganda’s scenic countryside, local towns, and vibrant roadside markets.

Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you will proceed for an exciting rhino tracking experience accompanied by a ranger guide. This unique activity offers the opportunity to track the endangered white rhinos on foot and observe them closely in their natural habitat. After the activity, check in at your lodge for and spend the day relaxed.

Day 2

Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and begin your journey to Kibale National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 5 to 6 hours through western Uganda’s beautiful countryside, rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages. Kibale is famously known as the “Primate Capital of the World,” home to one of the highest concentrations and diversity of primates in Africa. The forest shelters over 1,500 chimpanzees, as well as other species such as red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and olive baboons. It is also rich in birdlife and lush tropical vegetation, offering a true rainforest experience.

Upon arrival at Kibale, check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Optional: at an extra cost of USD 30 per person, you may enjoy a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed area known for its rich birdlife, monkeys, butterflies, and beautiful swamp scenery.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, proceed for a briefing at the park headquarters before entering the tropical rainforest in search of the habituated chimpanzee families. During the trek, you will also encounter other primates such as red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend time observing their natural behavior as they feed, play, and interact within the forest.

After the experience, return for lunch and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. The drive takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, passing through scenic crater lakes, rural landscapes, and views of the Rwenzori foothills. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will head out for an exciting morning game drive through, renowned for its rich biodiversity and stunning savannah landscapes. During the game drive, you will encounter elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, and, if lucky, elusive leopards. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers, hosting hundreds of bird species across its diverse habitats. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before proceeding for an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George.

The cruise offers excellent opportunities to spot large schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species along the shores, making it one of the highlights of any Uganda safari. After the activities, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive through the famous Ishasha sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen resting in the fig trees. During the game drive through Ishasha, you may also encounter elephants, buffaloes, topis, antelopes, and a variety of bird species within the open savannah plains.

Thereafter, continue your journey to, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and one of Africa’s oldest tropical rainforests. The drive offers beautiful views of rolling hills, local villages, and the scenic countryside of southwestern Uganda. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the evening at leisure as you prepare for the following day’s gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides before beginning the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, you will trek through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can take a few hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, but the experience is truly rewarding. Once located, you will spend one magical hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and interact.

After the trekking experience, return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to, one of Africa’s most beautiful and deepest lake, surrounded by terraced hills and scenic islands. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoying the peaceful lakeside atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and begin your journey to Kigali, enjoying scenic views of the rolling hills and beautiful countryside along the way. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will visit an important historical and educational site that commemorates the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The memorial offers meaningful insight into Rwanda’s history, resilience, and remarkable journey of reconciliation and recovery.

Thereafter, depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward departure.
